Open a video from your device, mark your snippet and save it locally for your quiz round.
Your quiz library
Named libraries are kept in this browser on this device. Each library has its own item numbers. Download your clips and list to keep a backup or move them to another device.
1. Choose your video
MP4, MOV, WebM or another format your browser can play. Maximum 300 MB. Video stays on your device; it is not uploaded to OutMaps.
The website must permit browser access to the file. YouTube, Spotify and ordinary web pages cannot be imported. Upload the video file if a link cannot load.
2. Choose the snippet
Drag the selected area with the hand to move it. Drag the START and END handles to resize it. Click elsewhere to move the playhead. Zoom in for precise trimming; scroll sideways to move along the video.
The player controls let you seek through the original video. “Play snippet” stops at your chosen end time.
Creating a clip takes approximately its playback time. Keep this tab visible until export finishes. Output is MP4 or WebM according to browser support.
Dialogue, timed cues & question notes
Import your own dialogue or a timed .LRC file. Click a timed line to jump to that moment. Timings must match the recording you loaded. Timings refer to the full video, starting at 0:00.
Dialogue and question drafts are saved in this browser for each source track. Web search opens a separate site; dialogue are not imported automatically.
3. Your numbered video clips
Each saved item gets its own number within this person’s quiz: 1., 2., 3. Numbers stay with an item when another is deleted. Clips and notes stay in this browser on this device, never on the OutMaps server. Download your video files for the event and keep a backup. Clearing browser data removes this list. The event playback page will be a separate tool.
