Quiz Research — Project Reference

Summary of decisions from the OutMaps/Max design conversation through 5 November 2026. This is a decision record, not a verbatim chat transcript.

1. Separate Dingbats, Crosswords, Anagrams and General Knowledge libraries.
2. Share one growing research knowledge bank, while keeping each quiz type's own saved quizzes and artwork.
3. Start with 21 subjects (the original 20 plus Christmas), targeting 60 questions per subject.
4. Users request a subject in Quiz Creator; requests enter the Quiz Admin Research Request Queue.
5. The site owner asks Max to prepare 60 researched question-and-answer candidates with source references.
6. Owner uploads the subject bank manually via OutMaps Admin; no external AI API or IONOS support needed for this workflow.
7. Users review, correct, flag or reject candidate questions; approval is community verification, not independent fact-checking.
8. Keep question history and avoid overwriting previously verified questions when importing more research.
9. Only reviewed entries should become eligible for shared use; protect publishing with authenticated controls.
10. Preserve the approved Crossword Studio design, fixed typography and 10 mm A4 margins. General Knowledge Studio follows its two-page Questions/Answers format.
11. Keep all website code updates central to OutMaps Admin, with Development/Live separation and backups.

Current implementation: manual admin-only JSON import with duplicate-safe merge and unverified status. Shared quiz selection and user verification remain future work.
